what is the average cost to paint new construction in IL. Custom home, lots of crown coffered ceilings.?

Posted by admin on November 11th, 2011 and filed under custom homes | 2 Comments »

I have a home new construction in the Shorewood Il area. All Custom, lots of crown, 20 ft ceilings, combination of stained and painted trim and doors, coffered ceilings. What might be an approx. cost to paint the interior.

A custom home should be painted to your colours..talk to your builder..custom is not left in builder’s beige, that is why you are paying to have a custom home built.

What is the difference between manufactured homes and modular homes?

Posted by admin on October 10th, 2011 and filed under modular homes | 3 Comments »

And which is considered better? What could be possible problems with these homes compared to a standard home?

Construction.

Manufactured and modular are both constructed exactly the same. In a factory, under controlled environment, and in "modules". There’s no difference there

Manufactured are made according to Federal HUD codes, and modulars are constructed to State codes.

There are no problems with either. It depends on whether your locale allows manufactured, and whether you have your own property, or not.

If anything, "modulars" are built better than stick built. They have to be able to travel down roads at 65-70 miles an hour, and not sustain damage. Interior finishings are what YOU choose.

Personal choice

Who builds high quality Modular homes?

Posted by admin on October 8th, 2011 and filed under modular homes | 1 Comment »

I live in Southern California, I am considering buying a modular home. Does anybody know who makes a good quality home?

And it will be helpful to know what the extra cost will be as well i.e laying foundation, septic or sewer hook ups? Is this also included when financing?

We also live in Southern California and if we were building a modular home again, we would look closely at http://www.guerdonhomes.com/ (one built in our neighborhood just after our Champion Genesis was "built") and http://www.barvistahomes.com/

I would stay away from any Champion Genesis Redman modular home under any circumstance.
See http://championgenesismodularhomes.com/ for all the details & dollars regarding why we would not pick a Champion Genesis modular home ever again, along with comments from other sorrowful buyers.

What are some advantages of tearing down a forest to make new homes?

Posted by admin on October 6th, 2011 and filed under new homes | 5 Comments »

I’ve already got jobs and new homes but i need one more advantage, thanks

Cutting all trees facilitates site preparation to control pests and competing vegetation, improve seedbeds, and ameliorate soil deficiencies (for example, by cultivation, drainage, or fertilization).

When applied systematically across a forest ownership, clearcutting creates well-defined age classes in distinct stands, simplifying the management for evenflow sustained yield from a forest.

what are good websites to find homes for rent?

Posted by admin on September 25th, 2011 and filed under find homes | 1 Comment »

Im looking for homes to rent in chicago , IL. around the zip code 60629
but I cant really find anything, I’ve searched on craiglists, realtor.com, homes.com, etc & nothing.
pleasee helpp! thannnks.

You haven’t searched enough. Whenever I’d rent I only rented homes. They are out there, you just have to look harder because their ads are usually outnumbered by quite a few. Make sure you’re not looking just under the apartment listings-often there are separate categories for houses. Sometimes it’s better to drive the area you want to live in and look for signs outside places with phone numbers to call to inquire about.

Posted by admin on September 11th, 2011 and filed under new homes | 2 Comments »

I am moving to youngstown ohio and I want to buy a new home, where should i look?

my "mantra" is

call 3 RE offices
ask to talk to a buyer’s agent. NEVER accept a dual agent.

ask your prospective agent if there are any houses known to exist that are for sale
for about……….x $.

ask that agent, where would a house like that be?

do NOT accept an opportunity to look at any house listed by the agent’s brokerage.

get back to me for any more help
make sure you are $ qualified before you accept a real estate agent’s help

What is the show where they find homes for sale that can be remodled in the peoples budget?

Posted by admin on September 8th, 2011 and filed under find homes | 2 Comments »

A couple of years ago I saw a show on I thinK HGTV where they got an amount a couple was willing to spend on a home. Then they found 3 homes that were cheaper but could be remodled to meet the couples criteria and stay under the budgeted amount. I can’t for the life of me remember the name of it,or if it was really on HGTV.

I am a big fan of these types of shows and I am not recalling this one.

Sorry I could not be of more help.
