I think it’s a cool … I think it’s a cool house. IMO if they had set the house back a bit further they could have softened the effect more with landscaping. Also, I noticed the neighborhood homes were painted mostly shades of white, a lighter finish color would have helped it fit in better. I sure would live there though.
They can be … They can be inexpensive, but these people went overboard with the ritzy stuff to impress (which has to happen on the trendsetting designs, or people won’t pay attention..like the Tesla Roadster and GM Volt).

Someone needs to set laws on all the bullshit of building house after house with wood, until all of the eye sores in this world are used up. Would have been nice to know the total cost and efficiency of the design, and see how the roof is structured.
