My brother and i are looking into buying a vacation home. However the homes in the area we are looking at don’t fit well at all. How much do you think it’s going to cost to get property to build on when pp sq foot runs at about 2k. We can handle paying for a home but if just buying land is going to be in the millions too.. please fill me in
What you should do is go see an architect and tell him what you have in mind and how much you want to spend and the lay of the land you want to build on.
BTW land is sold by the acre unless you live in downtown New York City or the likes.

Land itself depending upon the location varies in price. However you may want to consider a pre-fabricated home. there are numerous floor plans and designs which you may find suprisingly inexpensive and attractive and will cut the cost of your home by 3/4 in dollars. go online research pre-fabricated homes.
