pretty much an architect without the math and stuff. I know this is a dumb question, but i know 3ds max/Sketchup/maya all very well. with those i can design some really really nice houses, and can model, texture and can light them. But i never really worry about the math part, i do know the simple stuff (making all the inner wall smaller than the outer walls..etc….)
So is there a job where i can just design it, and have someone else worry about the math? lol
a enternaprintes?
you could try working with a architect or a designer as a enternaprintes
What are some really good websites to find homes for rent?
I’m struggling to find homes for rent other than what is listed through rent.com, craigslist, and realtor.com. I live in Michigan, if that helps any.
There’s also homes.com,
http://www.homes.com/rentals/MI/County/MACOMB/
forleasebyowner.com,
http://www.forleasebyowner.com/z_DetroitMichigan.asp
rentalhouses.com,
http://www.rentalhouses.com/search/Detroit-MI/
mynewplace.com,
http://www.mynewplace.com/search?back=T&q=detroit%2C+michigan&ptype=h
Many of the best deals, however, are often first found through ‘connections’,
or by word-of-mouth, so given your church affiliation, you should check with
local pastors or church-groups in the area of Detroit you want to live.
I just love the area in Charleston, where can I find homes for rent in Charleston? Any suggestions or local contact?
Contact by email charlestonrentalhomes@yahoo.com they can help you find a rental home for that area. Be sure to provide your criteria. Happy hunting!
Weve been looking at transportable homes, modular homes and kit homes. How do kit homes differ from other homes?
Kit homes use prefabricated materials. Most are steel framed which can be erected easily and quickly. However, steel has developed so much in recent years, that steel framed "kits" are better quality than traditional timber frames. A lot of luxury homes use steel framed "kits".

The city is not too big or little but the exactly right for a lot of teens to know each other and go to the same school and most of them have their own car
Beverly Hills, California.
My mom threatened to put me in a foster home.
I just wanted to know how it works for the kids.
What are the steps of the foster home for the kid? What will happen when children’s aid gets you? Where will they bring you?
And are the homes usually in the same area of the previous schools?
No, they will NOT place you in the same school. you will stay in the same state, but that is about it.
You live with foster families like any other family. You will receive counseling, and your parents will be able to visit you at least twice a month.
My boyfriend and I are looking for decorating and remodeling ideas, and we both like high-class looks. The thing is, Google doesn’t return any searches for model homes in our area that we can just walk through. Usually, in order to look at homes, you have to put down some sort of money or go through a realtor; we just want to look, we’re not interested in buying.
Your newspaper will list open houses and housing developments: check there. Also, you’re in Orlando, home of time shares. Look for them and go on the tours. You may have to lie and say you’re married, though.
My fiancee and I are meeting with a home builder today. We are going to have a home built for us, we just dont know what to ask. Any suggestions?
you should have a ruff outline (drawing) Ask if they have a business license and check it out , do they have enough insurance to c=over not just workman’s comp but the job (heaven forbid you pay them and as they are cleaning up the last day the place catches on fire, sure you must have a special building insurance policy but so should they.
Get the building permit and go out to the job site each time its to be inspected (you should get to know who the county inspectors are by site so you will know if its an actual inspector or a fraud (this has been know to happen, you get shoddy work that did not actually pass inspections the builder leaves your stuck)
I suggest you look at modular homes they are stronger than stick built and each modular you can design yourself and pick out everything from size of each room built-ins (like bookcase with a fold down desk top, wak in shower spa…and its cheaper safer for the homeowner because their "factory" is constantly being checked out so one employee’s shoddy work won’t result in a house fire.
You can pick your siding too so they look exactly like a stick built house. Your insurance if you live in storm prone areas is cheaper (because they are stronger and stand up to harsher weather.)
Once they get the foundation, and your given a date they are not falling behind like stick build contractors are. Its well worth looking into
I want to volunteer at a nursing home this summer! I was just wondering if it’d be possible for me to visit a nursing home a few times a week and talk to the people there, since I know a lot of them are lonely, and maybe sing or read to them. Would this be possible, and which nursing homes would allow that?
Sure. I know of one, called Covenant Village in Northbrook. Others I’m sure will have you as well. I suggest you work with ones that are, or were, affiliated with a church denomination if you can.
These days they are called "assisted living facilities," "extended care facilities," or "skilled nursing facilities," depending on the support services their residents need. Many places have multiple kinds of facilities under the same roof.
Are you part of a congregation? If so, speak to your clergy person and ask for suggestions. That may be an excellent entry point. If that doesn’t work, call a nearby place and ask to speak to the chaplain, and find out details. I think hospitals will also have you. You may need to be in a training program.
You can find possible places to volunteer by using this medicare.gov web site:
http://www.medicare.gov/NHCompare/Home.asp
PLEASE remember something. This was something my supervisor said to me when I was an intern chaplain in a hospital. You are not bringing God into the resident’s room. God is already in the room.
You’d be wise to expect to learn a lot, and have your life changed, by the people you visit. Just because they’re living in a place where they get help does not mean they are mentally helpless: they are wise elders who have seen a lot.
Good luck and blessings.
Thinking about getting a mod built in Ohio. Would be 5 small bedrooms, around 2000 sf. What would be the approximate costs (exluding lot price?) Also, can you include links for modular manufactures in or close to ohio, and whether or not you have experience with mod homes? Thanks.
The "hard"contruction costs will run about $120 to $150 per sq. ft. depending on where you live.
Then you have to add on for "soft"costs (architect, permits, etc.)
Check out the webpage below for links to people in Ohio who do this sort of thing.
They should be able to give you a more definite price.
Good luck
